Programs

We have seven programs throughout different communities in Ghana.

Back to School

Manna of Life Foundation raises funds each year to provide school uniforms, backpacks and school supplies to help children living in deprived communities to attend school. Although public school is available to all children in Ghana, a child must have a uniform and school supplies to attend. This is something many children living in poverty can not afford.

Mother and Child Nutrition Program

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Matthew 25:37-40

“When mothers and babies are not healthy, communities are not healthy”—Christiana Tsitsiwu

The health and wellbeing of children is very crucial to the health of the entire community. The Mother and Child Nutrition Program provides specially prepared baby food every quarter to help mothers feed their newborns to prevent malnutrition in the communities we serve.

Chicken Coop Library

The Chicken Coop Children’s Library is located at Emmanuel’s House Sepe Tinpom, Kumasi Ghana, Manna of Life Foundation’s Ghana headquarters. The library, a former chicken coop, houses an after-school program for neighborhood children. It is the only children’s library in the area. The aim is to foster reading & intellectual development by providing age-appropriate books & a conducive environment for reading. The Center is also a location for one of our Mentoring Programs and other activities.

Mentoring & Discipleship and Volunteer Training

The Mentoring and Discipleship program provides an avenue for young people to discuss and find solutions to the problems and social issues they face daily. Regular meetings include fun activities, refreshments as they study and discuss mentoring materials and different topics. Pastor Stephen Mensah, our Director of Operations in Ghana, wrote the mentoring books for boys and girls answering the call to provide a forum for young people to discuss social issues and explore Biblical solutions. The program is growing and yielding fruit.

Training is provided for all Mentors and MLF volunteers working with children.

Christmas and Easter Assemblies

Christmas & Easter are happy times for Manna of Life Foundation and the communities we serve. Celebrations are held, telling the Biblical accounts of Jesus’ Birth at Christmas, and the message of the Cross, Salvation & Resurrection at Easter. Refreshments, music, teaching, drama, and goodie bags are part of the fun.
