My heart has always been to help those around me. As a little girl, I wanted to “give away” whatever I had.
I prayed to Jesus,
“Let me help the poor and hurting people in the world.”
As my own children grew, my heart stirred with the desire to go to the nations. I wanted to tell others about our hope in Jesus and alleviate some of the pain in the world. With many responsibilities at home, my path to the nations was not so clear.
One morning in church, I voiced my frustration to my friend and sister, Christiana. She, at the same time, felt called to help the needy back home in Ghana. We decided to pray and ask the Lord what He would have us do together. Shortly after, Manna of Life Foundation, Inc. was born.
Since then, I travelled to Ghana, sharing and ministering in children’s meetings. I published “The Gift” a children’s book we use in our Christmas assemblies. On one trip, as I looked at the old chicken coop at our Kumasi headquarters, the Lord spoke vision into my heart.
We should establish a children’s library and recreation center for the ministry!
In the summer of 2019, Manna of Life Foundation, Chicken Coop Children’s Library and Recreation Center was dedicated to the Lord! The Library boasts almost 1000 titles and serves the children in the community.
The Lord truly gives us the desires of our heart! Psalm 37:4
